This short film lasts only 20 minutes, but is a wonderful film. Michael Landon is shown as many have never seen him, portraying a young man who wanted to be lightweight champion of the world when tragedy strikes in the form of an injury to his head that causes him to live in a dream world. It's 20 short minutes brought tears to my eyes! Any person should enjoy it! Benny Leonard is a great picture of selfless love toward Kid Lombard, Landon's character. Although, perhaps, some of the film may not be medically accurate, those who love a good story should see through to the heart of the matter... that selflessness, love, and truly caring for someone can help them through even the most difficult of times! (IMDB). The real Benny Leonard and champion boxer was not actually in this movie only his name was used and his likeness. |
